Hi, my name is Nena.
I am the co-Illustrator Coordinator and New Member Coordinator for SCBWI San Francisco South region. My stories come from my childhood and are influenced by my knowledge of child development and the world of imagination. I grew up with a passion for drawing and writing, but put those dreams on hold and worked hard to get my dream job as a heart surgery physician assistant. After becoming a mother of two girls, I have decided to nurture my first passion as an author/illustrator.
I am currently working on several picture book manuscripts such as a fairytale spin on dim sum, sisters in a sticky situation, patching up a mother and daughter relationship, and more, illustrating a book dummy for one and developing my portfolio for the others.
I am currently seeking representation.
